Extreme Metal project from Montréal, Québec.

Formed in 2017 by the interdisciplinary artist and multi-instrumentalist Éric Tremblay-Desbiens. 4-string basses are the centerpiece of Externatropy, a unique approach in Extreme Metal music, allowing the bass to be pushed upfront with destructive riffs and melodies. When music is accompanied by vocals, Externatropsy regularly uses an invented language called "Kéîî", which brings a progressive element to the music. Drums are meticulously crafted with passion and dedication in order to obtain the desired vision of each releases. Other elements such as synths or unusual instruments can be used occasionally to give an additional atmosphere to the sounds. No guitars will ever be heard on Externatropsy because of the basses that replaces them for riffs and solos.

I started playing bass in 1997 at the age of 12. From the beginning, I decided to experiment and used various playing techniques that we can hear now in Externatropsy. My talent in art has allowed me after several years of experimentation to create this project while being independent, remain free in creativity and also be able to produce more music for people all around the world.
